This face mask protection was made with loving care out of 100% pre-washed cotton fabric (smoke free, pet free home). It includes a removable-optional  nose clip/wire and fabric straps to assure perfect fit and comfort.

Laundering instructions

Wash and dry normally. Launder after use and keep masks person-specific. Use mild soap (nothing artificial like chemical fragrances or softeners)

How to wear

Position the mask with the top and inside as follows: Top mask includes a removable/optional  wire nose clip (if clip has shifted after being laundered, position centrally & replace as needed with set of  four 4” twist ties); outside pleats run top to bottom, folded down.  Inside top of mask includes small side by side openings for the removable nose clip/wire.

Completely open the accordion pleats. With the inside of the mask facing your face, adjust the nose clip around the nose, then tie the two top ties to fit around top portion of head. Open accordion pleats fully and fit the mask around and under the chin. The mask should fit tight to the face. Tie the two remaining bottom ties.

Mask Information

These fabric masks are similar to what was worn prior to the machine-made disposables. They were worn in surgery, during medical procedures, and while caring for infectious persons. Masks were laundered, sterilized, and reused.

Why wear face masks?

These masks are reusable if washed and person-specific.  They will filter most dust and smoke and pollen but would not filter out tiny virus molecules. A major benefit of these masks would be to protect OTHER persons — the person wearing the mask will have less of a chance of distributing droplet virus while breathing, talking, singing, sneezing, etc.  Another benefit is that the mask can be reused (after proper laundering).   When wearing this face mask, you will be less likely (hopefully) to touch your face, nose, eyes, and mouth with contaminated hands.

Fabric masks are not adequate barriers against viruses and should be be clean and chemical free prior to each use. Be safe, be healthy,
